Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Vastu Compass 360 (the “Application”) collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use the Application on your mobile device.

1. Information Collection & Usage

We believe in complete privacy. The Application is designed to perform Vastu calculations and floor plan layouts entirely offline.

  • No Personal Data Transmission: The Application does not collect, upload, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to external servers. All information, layout calculations, and settings reside locally on your device.
  • Offline Operation: No data is shared with third parties or stored in the cloud.

2. Device Permissions Required

To provide Vastu assessment and floor plan editor services, the Application requests access to the following device hardware and systems. These permissions are strictly used for on-device features:

A. Camera Permission

  • Usage: Used solely when you select “Capture Floor Plan” to take a live photo of a floor plan layout drawing or blueprint.
  • Storage: Captured images are processed on-device and stored locally within the application’s private sandbox directory. They are never sent to our servers or any third-party services.

B. Photo Library / Gallery Access

  • Usage: Used when you choose “Upload Floor Plan” to select a previously saved floor plan drawing from your device’s photo library.
  • Storage: The selected image is copied to the application’s local sandbox for project editor rendering.

C. Compass Sensor / Location Services

  • Usage: The application accesses the device’s native magnetometer and compass sensors to fetch headings (degrees relative to magnetic/true North).
  • Usage Context: Used on the Compass Screen to display alignment and direction checkers, and in the Floor Plan Editor to calibrate the orientation of the layout map.
  • Storage: Sensor readings are processed in real-time on-device and are not logged or stored.

3. Data Storage

All projects, room markers, directions, and user preferences (such as selected language and design styles) are stored locally using React Native AsyncStorage and SQLite sandboxed files.

  • Uninstalling the Application will permanently delete all local projects and saved configurations.

4. Third-Party Services & Links

The Application does not include third-party advertising, analytics tracking, or social media integration. All code is focused entirely on the utility of Vastu alignment checking.

5. Children’s Privacy

The Application does not collect or solicit any data from children. Since all operations are offline and local, we do not have access to any user demographics.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted by updating this document within the repository. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
